Foretell's Cover!

If you could provide anyone with the path to their deepest, darkest desires, would you?

Estelle Spencer has no choice.

With just a simple touch of her hand, wishes and dreams are instantly fulfilled. Her voice speaks of its own accord, lighting the way to good fortune.

But not everyone’s fortunes are desirable.

For most of her life Estelle hides in fear, living as a recluse in her sister’s shadow. Until the day comes when her existence is remembered.

Forced into running, Estelle meets Rex, a Romanian gypsy, and the only person who can help her hide. Together they search for a way to end the curse that controls Estelle’s life.

Before she destroys the world.

News

Hello friends!

I just wanted to announce that I sent Foretell's book cover over to the wonderful Celeste at The Book Hookup. They will be revealing the cover on May 4th. I hope you'll check it out and let me know what you think! I'm super excited about this cover because I believe it encompasses the heart of the story.

In other news, I've been thinking about how awesome all of my readers are, and also about how exciting the release of my next book is. That being said, I'd like to do something to share that excitement with you guys.

I'm thinking there is a definite giveaway on the horizon. So keep a look out for it ;)

constant state of euphoria

So Amazon.com has been telling me for the past few weeks that Wanderlove is listed in the top thousand in the entire kindle store.

I can't stop smiling about this!

That's pretty freaking amazing. Currently, it's number 782! I was super excited, so of course I had to take a screen shot.

I think I'm mostly in shock over how many people exist in this world. And some of those people buy my book. And on top of that- some of them enjoy it.

This makes me very, very happy.

And I just want to thank the all people who have shown Wanderlove some love. :)

So thank you.

Also, I just wanted you all to know that the cover of Foretell will be revealed to you very soon! So stay tuned...(Not sure if "stay tuned" is the correct lingo for a website, but I'm sure all you smart people get what I mean).

holy crappola!

Hey friends,

I've been getting feedback from customers that own the new Kindle Fire (Side note: I'm jealous of all of you- my kindle is ancient) saying that the left hand side of the page is cut off. First off, I haven't heard of this happening before and I am so very sorry! Secondly, I've contacted Amazon to make them aware of the problem, then re-uploaded Wanderlove, making sure the margins were accurate. Amazon contacted me back and told me that everything looks fine. If this has happened to you, please contact Amazon to let them know. They will refund your money or let you re-download the book. I'm not sure what went wrong and I can't personally view the Fire version, but from what Amazon has told me, the issue has been fixed.

Secondly, I just wanted to let you all know I'm still hard at work finishing up Foretell. The cover is gorgeous too and I will post it as soon as I'm able to. I've enjoyed reading all of your comments/feedback about Wanderlove and I can't wait to share the next book in this series.

xoxo

2012 aspirations

So I've decided to make a list (because I love lists) of my 2012 "literary" resolutions. Its kind of late, being that we're a week into January. Better late than never though. Here it is:

Publish on itunes

This one is in the works because I've just converted to apple anyway. Apple computer makers = geniuses.

Write and publish three more books.

I know it's a lofty goal, but it will happen!

Learn to make my own book covers.

This just sounds fun to me. I love art.

Read 50 books.

For some of you, that's an easy goal. And yes, you're amazing. But I've got to have some time for writing.

Be more confident.

This one is extremely important. My self-doubt gets in the way all of the time.

Write the most incredible love story of all time.

Okay so this is more of a "life long" goal. However, it is still something I'm striving for each year.

So that's it for me. If I can achieve those things in 2012, I will be pretty ecstatic. So what are your goals this year?

the secret life of a habitual procrastinator

I have a ten page report due on Friday- MLA style. (Did your ears just close up in protest?) Needless to say, I'm procrastinating. At this moment in time I could be doing something much more productive, but no...I'm writing a blog post instead of my paper. Do you see where my priorities lie? Some day in the future, life will be grand. I will have no more MLA papers to work on and I'll finally have that degree I'm only seven classes away from. I will have all the time in the world for writing and posting on this blog....sigh.

I watched that show "The Lottery Changed my Life" earlier this evening (more attempts at procrastination) and they did a segment on this woman who wrote down the number "112 million" on a piece of paper, folded it up and slipped it under her pillow. She won the California lotto at exactly 112 million. She believes she manifested the money. Tonight I think I will write down on a piece of paper "Formal paper due date extended until next week"...hmm....I suppose this cycle would simply start over again come next week though. So scratch that. I will write "Formal paper canceled. Only counts for extra credit". That would be awesome. Then I could focus on writing the sequel to Wanderlove. Anyway, I'll keep you guys posted and let you know how the paper thing works...;)

In other news, I read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and loooooved it. Michelle Hodkin is simply ahhmazing. I do not have enough words to express how much I enjoyed this book! Easily, I could say it has been the best book I've read this year. One reason: Noah Shaw. And you will love him too, so go pick up this read asap!
